In the mean time, we invite you to explore the outgoing 2011 Toyota Tacoma at our dealership located at 13429 Statesville Road in Huntersville, NC. Considered the best-selling pickup in America, it's available in four different body types ; and delivers six standard airbags, Star safety system, and fuel economy of up to 21 mpg city/25 mpg hwy.
Speaking on the critical role the Tacoma plays in Toyota's overall vehicle lineup, Bob Carter, Group VP and Brand Manager, Toyota says, "It's an important segment for us because it provides us with young customers."1 While two American competitors have stopped investing in the compact pickup segment, Carter contends it may experience a strong comeback if oil and gas prices continue to climb. In fact, the Japanese automaker reports that from January-June 2011, they sold more Tacoma pickups than they did larger, full-sized Tundra pickups.
