The 2024 Toyota Tacoma has been getting teased by Toyota for a while, but we have good news – it’s about to be completely unveiled. Toyota will drop the 2024 Toyota Tacoma into the limelight at 1:30 am on May 19th (so set your alarm for this random time). Our N Charlotte Toyota dealership has rounded up everything we know so far about this new Toyota truck and its long-awaited redesign – read on.

The 2024 Toyota Tacoma is coming to Toyota of N Charlotte

Here’s what we know so far about the redesigned N Charlotte Toyota Tacoma:

• It’s going to be completely redesigned – we’re talking bumper to bumper. Fans have been clamoring for a redesign since 2015, and everyone is excited about the upcoming fourth generation. We don’t have an actual release date, but we do know it should be at a Toyota dealership near you later this year or beginning of next year.
• Judging from the teaser photos, it seems like the new 2024 Toyota Tacoma will look like a sibling to the Toyota Tundra and Toyota Sequoia. We expect a more modern and angular look on the exterior and an interior that’s equal parts functional and tech-driven.
• You’ll have multiple cab and bed options again. Toyota released a teaser video indicating that this new Toyota truck will have crew and extended cabs, as well as regular and long beds. So again, you’ll have the opportunity to customize your drive time.
• It’s going to have a new body-on-frame platform. The 2024 Toyota Tacoma will sit on the new TNGA-F platform and will offer better handling and off-roading, more capable towing, and a cheaper manufacturing process.
• It’ll have a new engine. Toyota has confirmed that the new i-Force Max hybrid system – which is in both the Toyota Tundra and Sequoia – will be featured in the 2024 Toyota Tundra. It’ll have increased horsepower and better fuel efficiency, which means an enhanced driving experience.

• On top of that, it’s also been confirmed that a gas engine will be up for grabs, too. Toyota also confirmed that a six-speed manual transmission will be available on the redesign, allaying everyone’s fears that the manual transmission option would be dropped.

• The audio system is going to be updated. Toyota released images indicating that a JBL sound system with a Flex Speaker – one that can be removed and carried around – will be available. We’re also expecting a bigger touchscreen than the current 8″ one, as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

• A new model is getting added to the lineup for the 2024 Toyota Tacoma. This new special edition is called the Trailhunter and it’ll be perfect for off-roading and overlanding. Teaser shots indicated ARB add-ons and tow hooks, so we’re excited to see what the whole package has to offer.
