6 Spooky Events You Must Attend

Now that the crisp, fall weather is here and PSL season is back, it’s time to get excited for some spooky events near Charlotte, North Carolina. Whether you’re looking for a kid-friendly event or one for just adults, we’ve got you covered! So, it’s time to grab some yummy snacks and a PSL and head out to the nearest event (or events) near you!

Ghoulish Events You Can’t Miss

  • Carowinds Great Pumpkin Fest/Scarowinds

This super fun event will have Halloween-themed activities, dance parties, and games! And, at night the park turns into SCarowinds! But, be sure that if you’re 17 and younger you have an adult who is 21 years or older with you at all times. The ticket prices start at $34.99 online and it takes place during weekends through October 30. This event takes place at 300 Carowinds Blvd., Charlotte, North Carolina! Don’t miss it!

  • Aw Shucks/The 13th Acre 

This is another kid-friendly event that will have a corn maze, wagon rides, an animal barn, fishing, and much more! If you want to meet some spooky friends, then take a stroll on the haunted trail. This event near Charlotte costs $13 for adults, $10 for kids 4+, and kids under three are free! You can check out this event on Friday-Sunday until November 6. This event is located at 3718 Plyler Mill Road, Monroe, North Carolina.

  • Tweetsie Railroad Ghost Train 

This takes place between 7:30-11 p.m at 300 Tweetsie Railroad Lane, Blowing Rock, North Carolina. There are dance parties, trick-or-treat stations, themed photo opportunities, Palace Spooktacular Show, a haunted house, a freaky forest walk, and amusement rides in the creepy carnival. You can purchase the tickets online, and they range from $35-$52. However, kids two and under are free!

  • Stroke’s Halloween Course 

If you’re looking to get your drink on and shoot some balls, then don’t miss this event at 1318 Pecan Ave., Charlotte, North Carolina, during September 18-October 31. It’s only $15 per person, and there’s a Halloween-themed golf course, glow-in-the-dark balls, and a fall cocktail menu! Remember to have a designated driver!

  • Evil Dead The Musical

If you love the arts, then come to The Barn at MoRA located at 8300 Monroe Road, Charlotte, North Carolina. This takes place from October 5-30 and tickets range from $37-$49! Be sure to bring a chair to this super fun performance! And, if you love makeup, then there’s a zombie makeup tutorial at 6 p.m. on October 8 for only $17!

  • Spooky Movie Screening and Paranormal Discussion

This super fun movie screening takes place at VisArt Video located at 3140 Eastway Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina. You don’t want to miss this event on October 16 at 2 p.m. for free! This makes it the perfect budget-friendly spooky event.
