According to a AAA survey, over 80% of drivers have shown road rage while driving over the last year. So, what exactly is road rage? Well, it’s basically whenever a driver is super angry (and acting aggressive or passive-aggressive), and takes it out on other drivers on the road by tailgating, weaving in and out, cutting people off, and brake checking. Just beware of those drivers and know that it isn’t anything personal.

Someone having a bad day can cause road rage, but the most common cause are traffic, delays, and running late. • Hitting another car on purpose

• First things first, do not engage with this angry driver. This is most likely the response they want. Just try your best to stay calm, and do not brake check them, yell, make eye contact, or give them a rude hand gesture back. • Don’t stop if someone is having road rage. Even if the other driver indicates that they want you to stop, you should avoid this at all costs.
