The basics

Let’s start with the basics for the 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross and 2023 Toyota RAV4.

  • Choices: You’ll have more options when it comes to the 2023 Toyota RAV4 – it has an incredible 16 models to choose from, including choices like the TRD and Adventure models, and the special Woodland Edition. It showcases 9 gasoline models and 7 electrified models, including a plug-in hybrid option. The 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross offers 8 models – 3 gasoline and 5 hybrid.
  • Price: The 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross is cheaper. It has a starting MSRP of just $23,060, while the 2023 Toyota RAV4 has a starting MSRP of $27,975.
  • Warranty: Both of them offer an incredible (and identical) warranty. You’ll have a 3-year/36,000 mile basic warranty and a 5-year/60,000 mile powertrain warranty. Additionally, both come with corrosion and seatbelt warranties.

Performance

  • The 2023 Toyota RAV4 has three engine options to choose from – a 2.5L 4-cylinder (30 mpg), a hybrid (40 mpg), and a plug-in hybrid.
  • The 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross has two options – a 2.5L 4-cylinder (32 mpg)  or a hybrid (37 mpg).
  • Both vehicles are available in all-wheel drive options.
  • The RAV4 can tow up to 3,500 lbs with ease. The Corolla Cross maxes out at 1,500 lbs.
    The RAV4 also has more off-roading ability than the Corolla Cross. It comes in TRD and Adventure grades and has a higher ground clearance in general (which is better for off-road surfaces).
    The RAV4 gets more horsepower (203 hp vs 169 hp) in the gas engine options than the Corolla Cross, and slightly more torque (165 lb-ft vs 151 lb-ft).

Interior

The interior of the 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross and RAV4 are pretty similar and share a lot of the same technology and appearance options (like Apple CarPlay, Connected Services, Softex, etc.). However, the 2023 Toyota RAV4 is slightly larger than the Corolla Cross as it’s a bigger vehicle.
