What to know about the new 2026 Toyota Tacoma cab sizes
The Toyota Tacoma is a fan favorite (and certainly a favorite among Toyota drivers here in Huntersville). Beloved for its versatility and personality, the Tacoma is the perfect truck for light-duty work and everyday adventures.

There are two cab sizes available in the 2026 Toyota Tacoma: Double Cab and Xtra Cab. Both of these are comfortable and designed with functionality in mind.
Toyota Tacoma Xtra Cab vs Double Cab:
- The Xtra Cab is a regular cab, which means it’s a bit smaller; it fits two passengers and doesn’t have a backseat. There are two doors and a single row of seating. This makes it a great option for a work truck or adventurers who like to travel light (or anyone who doesn’t want to carpool).
- The Double Cab is the larger option, seating five passengers. It has four doors and two rows of seating. This Toyota truck size is perfect for drivers who need the versatility and space that everyday life demands. Note: The doors on this Toyota truck cab size vary – the longer the bed, the smaller the doors.
- Both the Xtra Cab and Double Cab offer a 6-foot bed. You can also get a 5-foot bed on the Double Cab.

What you should know about the new 2026 Toyota Tundra cab sizes
Thinking a 2026 Toyota Tundra is more your speed? This N Charlotte Toyota truck is a workhorse. It tows, it hauls, it gets off-road, and it can also get you and your kids to school safely. There are tons of options available when it comes to the new Toyota Tundra, so let us make at least the cab size simple for you. Here’s what you can expect when it comes to Toyota truck cab sizes for this fan favorite.

2026 models offer two options – the Double Cab and the CrewMax Cab. Both can FIT six people space-wise, but there are only five seatbelts, so you shouldn’t have any more passengers than that.
Toyota Tundra CrewMax Cab vs Double Cab:
- Both cabs have two rows of seating (two seats in the front and three seats in the back) plus four doors. This makes it super easy to climb in and out of the cabin. In terms of dimensions, the cabs are similarly sized, with the following differences:
- The CrewMax Cab is a crew cab which has a bit more passenger space for extra comfort, specifically when it comes to leg room.
- The Double Cab is an extended cab, and choosing this cab gives you the opportunity to include a long bed that’s over 8 feet long.
- You can’t get a long bed with a CrewMax Cab, so you have to decide if you want more space inside the cabin or if the extra hauling space is more important.
The best way to decide? To explore the cabin for yourself in person. We have plenty of new Toyota Tundras waiting for you at Toyota of N Charlotte, so pop in for a test drive and to gauge which one works better for your drive time needs.
