Let’s start things off with the most common off-roading terms that you should have under your belt.

• Air down: This off-roading term means what it says it is. It means that you should release some air so that your tire pressure is below the recommended PSI. However, you might be asking why. This is because a N Charlotte Toyota will have better traction and control on off-roading surfaces. But, don’t forget to put air back into those tires so you don’t have to purchase new car tires!

It helps to reduce backward roll when you take your foot off the brake to press on the gas and go up a hill. • Multi-terrain select: This feature is a system that adjusts throttle, brakes, and traction control to regulate wheelspin on different types of terrain.
