Best Road Trip Games to Make a Boring Ride Fun!

April 24th, 2024 by

Now that summer is approaching and school is ending, it’s time for a road trip! And, Toyota of N Charlotte is here with the best road trip games. We know, we know. Games might seem like they’re not that amazing, but these games will knock your socks off! Grab your sense of humor and let’s dive in!

Best Road Trip Games for Adults

This is for the best road trip games for adults (sorry kiddos). But hello adults! Now that we’re all here, let’s dig in with your N Charlotte Toyota.

#1 Spin a Story From the Past

For this road trip game, you’ll channel your “Who can lie better?” One person tells a story about their past and the other players in the N Charlotte Toyota guess if it’s the truth or a tale. In addition, each guesser receives two follow-up questions. Every correct answer receives two points and the first player to 10 wins. The kicker is that the loser has to tell a super embarrassing story. Sorry in advance!

#2 Mad Libs

At Toyota of N Charlotte, we’re sure you know what this game is. You’ve only been playing it since you were a child (probably). However, if you need an explanation, then here it is! For this one, you’ll use nouns, adjectives, and verbs from people to create a story. Need help getting started? Download some Mad Libs from a website and take it with you on your road trip!

#3 Who’s Most Likely To…?

Another best road trip game is “Who’s most likely to.” The players have three seconds to name the person who best fits this description. Also, players take turns asking new questions. Below are some questions you could ask:

  • Who is most likely to answer the phone at 3 a.m.?
  • Who is most likely to throw their friend a surprise party?
  • Who is most likely to purchase a N Charlotte Toyota?

You get it. However, if you’re stuck on some questions, you can whip out your phone and Google some questions.

Basic Road Trip Games For Everyone

Are you looking for the best road trip games that everyone in your N Charlotte Toyota can answer? Ding! Ding! We’re here! We’ve got some games that will bond everyone together!

#1 The Alphabet Game

This is a game that everyone (including the kiddos) can participate in! You have to start with an “A” and travel down to “Z” and select a category. Confused? Toyota of N Charlotte has your back! You’ll choose a category like auto parts. Then, someone will go first and say alternator, then battery, and so on.

#2 Scavenger Hunt

The other best road trip games are scavenger hunts! This fun game isn’t just meant for the great outdoors. You can even play this in your N Charlotte Toyota this summer! We’re sure you know how this works, but if you don’t here’s the tea! You can either create your list ahead of time or on the fly! Some things you might have on your list are a license plate, a pine tree, a new Toyota, luggage on top of the car, and more! Whoever checks off the most items wins!

Road Trip Games for Adults (Buh-bye kiddos)

If you’re on a road trip with your partner, then you’ll find the road trip games for adults super handy! You can make this more of a getting-to-know-each-other-better vibe. Here are some games you can play to get to know your partner more deeply.

#1 Twenty One Questions

We’re sure you’ve heard of this game in the past. If you need a refresher, then here you go! One player will ask a yes or no question until they guess the word. However, if you run out of 20 questions, then you lose! Also, you’ll need five points to win this game! The loser buys coffee!

#2 The Counting Game

The last road trip game for adults is the counting game. Someone will start with number one. Then, another person follows the number with the next number. However, if two people say the same number at the same time, then you have to start all over. Also, if there’s more than a five-second pause, you must start over. The goal is to get to 20!
